Who is Jesus praying for and how many times does he pray for us to be?

  1. Identify what it means to be a disciples of Jesus including entering into a life long relationship with him, living according to his values and worshiping Te Atua.

  2. Explain what is meant by the term community of disciples.

  3. Explain how the church is to be a community of disciples that makes Christ visible      in the world today.

Apostles creed:
I believe in one God the father almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, And in Christ his only son, Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered on the pontius pilate, was crucified died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father almighty; from there he will come again and judge the living and the dead. I believe in the holy spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and everlasting Amen.

John 17:20-23
In this remarkable scripture I interpreted Jesus Christ prayed for us to be one three times because he wants us as his disciples to   carry his unity to as one as himself is one with the Father in heaven.

The Church is one and Holy
            Holy
  • We are holy because the Te Wairua Tapu is dwelling in us.
  • We are  not PERFECTLY  HOLY,  WHY?  We are not perfect because  we are journeying through the fullness of Christ and still going on our pilgrimage.
