What do you know about the estuary health check?
We are learning to:Re read the text and consider the main idea and actions and then think about the consequences.
The people were counting the cockles and there was something wrong.
Check the estuary health.
Plan:
- Cockles
- Investigate
- Polluted
- Destroying
- The people polluting home
- Rubbish
- Storm water drain
Explanation:
What I know about estuary health check?
The people were counting the cockles and there was something wrong. And we want to investigate how many cockles are there and take care of the estuary and one way to take care of the estuary is to stop polluting.
We know that if the estuary is polluted that means there are not much cockles and shellfish. The estuary was low tide and was polluted by rubbish and other things. Cockles are somehow can’t be found any more because some people are polluting them by destroying their homes and throwing rubbish around.
And because of that people are throwing their rubbish on there street and when it rains the rain washes it down the storm water drain it washes through the sea and polluting the sea life and the rivers. We want to find out the cockles life and why the rivers are polluted.

- Things we needed
- Science
Material:
- 100mls beaker with milk
- 15mls beaker white vinegar
- Eye drop
- Tripod
- Burner
- Gauze
- Thermometer
- Wet cloth
- Empty beaker
- Matches
- Stirring rod
Steps:
- Use a burner and use wet cloth to wipe around it, then use a tripod and Gauze top of it then get the burner and gently put it under the tripod.
- Take of the lid from the burner and place it beside you then light the burner using the matches to light it up.
- Take the 100 mls of milk beaker, thermometer and place it on the tripod and the gauze, while doing that you hold the thermometer and place it gently in the beaker of milk then wait until it goes up to 37 temperature heat.
- Take the 100mls beaker of milk away from the tripod and gauze then off the burner.
- Take the beaker that is 15mls of white vinegar and use the eye drop to pour 12 drop of vinegar in the beaker of milk.
- then stir it and while you are stirring it with the stirring rod.
Then finally you should have a baby spit milk the produces moluques.
Observation:
When the energy heat warm the 100mls of milk the heat should be 37 temperature and when the 15mls of white vinegar in mix up with the milk it produces moluques ,solid and smells like cheese.
